Terms of use
Draft for review. This is not an effective published legal notice.
1. About these terms
LastTime is operated by Blue Sparrow, an independent solo developer based in India. "We", "us" and "our" refer to the developer operating under that name. These terms cover the app, related product website, optional connected services, support and subscriptions.
By choosing to use LastTime, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service. You must be 18 or older, and legally able to enter the relevant agreement where you live. The app does not offer child accounts or parental-consent features.
Read these terms with the LastTime Privacy Policy and the purchase information displayed before checkout. A privacy notice explains processing; accepting these terms is not consent to optional or sensitive-data processing.

2. What the app provides
LastTime helps you remember when you last did something, log a completion, keep notes/photos/readings, organize personal items and set optional calendar, seasonal or usage targets. It also provides local reminders, interval suggestions, widgets, scan shortcuts, optional encrypted device sync/recovery and export.
Your records determine what the app shows. A date-only entry is not an exact time; an unknown completion stays unknown. Logging a reading does not record maintenance, and an absent or old reading cannot establish current usage. Usage targets need an explicit baseline in the relevant unit/counter epoch. Suggestions describe recorded intervals and require your acceptance.
A QR or NFC scan opens an item. It does not verify that a task was completed and does not automatically log completion. Physical labels may stop working after revocation, deletion or a dataset reset; an offline device may learn about changes only after reconciliation.
LastTime is a personal organization tool. It does not provide medical advice, medication dosing, manufacturer service instructions, inspection certification or a guarantee that a vehicle, appliance or other item is safe. Use qualified guidance and independent arrangements for critical maintenance, medical or safety needs. An overdue or not-yet-due label is based on your chosen rule, not a professional assessment.
Features can vary by platform, region, version, permissions, plan and provider availability. The complete first release is for Android. A description of future iOS support or another planned capability is not a promise that it is available with a current purchase.
3. Local use, accounts and security
The local core can be used without an account. Google/Firebase identity is optional for connected account features; Drive authorization is a separate choice. Use only accounts you are authorized to use and keep your device, screen lock, Google account and recovery access secure.
Your Drive identity and Google Play purchasing account are separate. Selecting a different Google account does not automatically transfer purchases or personal records. The app asks for an explicit dataset choice before associating existing local records with a cloud account.
Sensitive actions, including releasing a recovery key or deleting an account, may require recent authentication. Do not send passwords, private keys or complete personal-record exports to support. Report suspected unauthorized access promptly to the privacy contact.
4. Your records and permitted use
You retain rights in content you create or lawfully provide. You authorize only the processing necessary for the features and optional transfers you request. We do not acquire ownership of your private history or a general right to publish it, advertise from it or train AI models with it.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your inputs and for having an appropriate basis to include someone else's information or photos. The app is intended for your private personal use; it is not an employee-monitoring, public publishing or shared-account service.
Do not attempt unauthorized access, bypass authentication or paid access, interfere with encryption or service limits, distribute malware, impersonate another person, or use the service to violate privacy or intellectual-property rights. Lawful interoperability, accessibility work and good-faith security reporting remain subject to the rights provided by applicable law.
The app, branding and original materials belong to Blue Sparrow or their licensors. We grant a personal, nonexclusive right to use them for their intended purpose, subject to these terms and any purchased entitlement. Open-source components keep their own licenses. Feedback may inform improvements without transferring ownership of unrelated private content.
5. Optional Drive sync and recovery
Sync operates across your own enrolled devices using encrypted objects in your Google Drive app-data folder. It is separate from point-in-time recovery backups. Local edits can be available before other devices receive them. Background restrictions, connectivity, Drive quota, revoked permission or an operational outage can delay sync.
Conflicting changes may need your review. The app preserves alternatives according to its retention rules rather than guaranteeing that every concurrent edit can be resolved automatically. Restoring an older checkpoint into a synchronized dataset can affect all devices; review the displayed scope before confirming.
Your device encrypts personal records before upload. The service stores an encrypted envelope containing a random recovery key so the verified account can recover without a memorized passphrase. The service can access that key during registration/release. This is not operator-zero-knowledge, and account compromise can expose both data and key.
Recovery depends on the correct account, authorization, compatible complete encrypted files and a valid key. A successful upload alone is not proof of a verified backup. Local-only data may be lost if the device is lost or its app storage is removed; export or enable verified recovery if you want an additional copy.
The local core remains usable during service outages, but remote publishing may pause until account and dataset generation can be verified. These terms do not promise instantaneous synchronization, permanent storage or guaranteed recovery.
6. Reminders, shortcuts and exports
Reminders are convenience aids. Permission choices, battery settings, Do Not Disturb, timezone changes, operating-system scheduling and device state can delay or suppress them. Operational push/email cannot guarantee delivery and do not replace local personal reminders.
Review the record, time and scope before completing an external action. App lock and visibility choices reduce exposure but cannot protect data on an already compromised or unlocked device.
Readable exports and selected photo exports leave the app's encrypted boundary. You choose the destination and are responsible for its access and storage. We cannot remove copies held by a recipient or another provider merely by deleting your app account.
7. Subscriptions, prices and renewal
LastTime offers a free foundation and optional Premium subscriptions. Before purchase, the app and Google Play show the available features, total price/currency and applicable tax, billing period, renewal terms, and any actual trial or introductory conditions. Marketing examples do not establish an offer.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Google Play according to the displayed terms. Cancel before the next renewal deadline shown by the store. Cancellation normally leaves paid access until the end of the paid period, except where a refund, revocation or another applicable condition changes that access.
Google Play processes payment and cancellation. RevenueCat and our operational service verify entitlement. We do not receive full payment-card details. Pending payments, grace periods, offline verification, expiry and refunds can affect paid status; contact support if the verified status appears incorrect.
Uninstalling, disconnecting Drive, deleting data or closing an app account does not cancel a subscription. Manage it in Google Play. Restoring an eligible purchase uses the intended purchasing identity; Drive recovery does not itself prove purchase ownership.
We provide required notice of price or material plan changes and obtain agreement where required. A new offer does not silently alter the agreed price or paid period of an existing purchase.
8. What happens when Premium ends
Your records and existing photos remain readable and exportable. Already configured targets continue evaluating and delivering reminders, configured labels/widgets remain usable, and reading entry and Done now remain available. New advanced setup or photo capture may require Premium. Expiry does not intentionally degrade an existing configured reminder or remove essential privacy, sync/recovery, export or deletion controls.
The current feature allocation is shown in the app before purchase. A lost connection does not intentionally erase records, although paid status may need re-verification.
9. Refunds and mandatory consumer rights
Use the applicable Google Play refund process or contact info@bluesparrow.dev for help. Store procedures do not replace rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
For example, EU/EEA and UK consumers may have a 14-day withdrawal right for relevant distance purchases. Any lawful exception or early-start adjustment for digital content/services requires the applicable information, express request/consent and acknowledgement; use of the app alone is not a blanket waiver. Where required, remedies for defective or nonconforming digital services remain available.
Consumers in Australia, New Zealand, India, Canada, Brazil, the United States and other regions retain applicable non-excludable guarantees and remedies. We do not impose a blanket "no refunds" condition or require you to give up mandatory rights as a condition of support.
10. Third-party services and privacy
Google/Firebase, Drive, Play, RevenueCat, Netcup and email providers operate parts of the connected experience. Your relationship with them can also be governed by their terms, policies and account settings. We remain responsible for obligations that apply to our role.
The Privacy Policy explains local records, encrypted Drive data, server-held recovery keys, operational metadata, rights and deletion. Optional processing needing consent is controlled separately from these terms. External links do not mean we control another provider's content or availability.
11. Leaving, deletion and suspension
You may stop using the app at any time. Export wanted records before deletion and cancel any subscription separately. Local data, synchronized records, Drive backups and the operational account have distinct deletion scopes.
Use the in-app controls or the externally published deletion instructions; email privacy@bluesparrow.dev if the app is unavailable. Account deletion requires proportionate verification. Cloud cleanup needs client-side Drive authorization; without it, we explain reconnection or account/key deletion leaving encrypted files behind. That choice can make the remaining files unrecoverable.
An offline device or exported copy may retain content. Required billing/security records and restricted backups may remain for the purposes and periods explained in the Privacy Policy. Partial failures are reported and can be retried; signing out alone is not account deletion.
We may restrict affected connected services when reasonably necessary to address serious misuse, unauthorized access, a security incident or a mandatory obligation. Where practical, we provide the reason, notice and a way to seek review through support. Restrictions should be proportionate and do not remove mandatory access, data or refund rights.
12. Availability, changes and responsibility
We aim to provide the described features with reasonable care. Networks, devices, providers and maintenance can interrupt service. Estimates, user-entered records, reminders and recovery processes can contain errors; correct inputs and review displayed limitations.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not promise uninterrupted operation, perfect accuracy, compatibility with every device or a particular personal outcome. These limitations do not excuse obligations for a paid digital service or exclude responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable protections for deliberate wrongdoing, serious negligence or personal injury.
Material reductions to a paid service receive the notice and remedies required by applicable law. If a connected service is discontinued, we aim to provide reasonable advance notice and an opportunity to export or recover accessible records, except where an urgent security or mandatory requirement prevents it. A subscription does not guarantee lifetime service.
13. Updates to these terms
We may revise these terms as the service, providers or requirements change. The published version shows its effective date, and material changes receive appropriate advance notice. Revised terms do not retroactively remove accrued rights or replace consent where a new consent is required.
If you do not accept a change, you may stop using the affected service and use export, deletion and cancellation controls, with any applicable refund rights preserved. Mandatory local protections apply even if a provision here cannot be enforced; the remaining provisions continue to apply where valid.
